African Distillers subscribes to systematic process approach to management of its operations in pursuit of its Mission and Vision. As such, the organisation voluntarily adopted, implemented and attained certification to the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015); Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018) and the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000 Version 5.1).

Our success story in Management Systems implementation, hinges on unmatched commitment and support from our leadership. It is through our Safety, Health, Food Safety and Quality (SHEFQ) Policy that our leadership provides strategic direction to our management systems’ implementation; embedding and synchronising the systems approach with all functional activities. Progress in our Management Systems is monitored through regular review of our operational performance against set objectives and targets.

Our business values, risk assessments, legal compliance, employee competence, effective communication, resource adequacy, commitment to continual improvement and clarity on roles, responsibilities, authority and accountabilities are among the significant pillars of our Management Systems.
